Chapter 192 Programs

  • Compensatory Education is offered to students who score below state established levels on standardized tests. Basic Skills instruction is provided in reading, writing and/or math.

English as a Second Language (ESL) is provided to students identified as limited English proficient.  English speaking, reading, writing and listening skills are provided.

Home Instruction services are given in the home, in lieu of regular classroom instruction, to an eligible student who is enrolled full-time.  The student must have been unable to attend school for 10 consecutive days or 20 cumulative school days or more during the school year due to a temporary or chronic health condition or a need for treatment, which precludes participation in their usual educational setting.
