Adult Programs

  • As an approved provider through the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Bergen County Special Services (BCSS) is proud to offer a range of Medicaid fee-for-service day habilitation programs tailored to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities residing in Bergen County.

Our five unique programs, Careers Through Technology, Paramus Adult Training Center, Progressive Paths, Stepping Stones, and Wood-Ridge Adult Training Center, each provide person-centered, outcomes-based services aligned with NJ DDD standards and best practices. The programs are located within two facilities in Paramus and Wood-Ridge that serve the northern and southern regions of Bergen County, providing accessible transportation within each respective catchment area.

Participants engage in skill development across key areas:

    • Employment readiness & career exploration
    • Community integration & volunteerism
    • Activities of daily living & independence skills
    • Social skills & emotional regulation
    • Technology use & digital literacy
    • Leisure skills & structured group instruction

With programming ranging from foundational instruction to advanced, community-based learning, BCSS ensures that each individual receives the support and opportunities they need to reach their full potential.

We are committed to creating an embracing programmatic experience while delivering high-quality, inclusive services that empower adults to lead fulfilling lives and become active, valued members of their communities.
