A Message from the Principal
-
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the VISIONS Integrated Elementary Program located in the barrier-free Parkway Elementary School in Paramus. Our innovative program for students with multiple disabilities affords children in grades Kindergarten through fourth, the opportunity to learn in an inclusive environment. Alongside their grade-level peers, students receive the intensive instructional adaptations, assistive technology, augmentative communication, and environmental supports they need to ensure academic success in a typical school setting. Our ultimate goal is for each student to work to his/her potential, while still feeling part of a school community.
Our curriculum is aligned to the grade-level New Jersey Student Learning Standards. Instruction is provided by a highly-trained and experienced staff, who works collaboratively with the general education faculty to ensure an optimum educational program for each and every student. In addition to academic subjects, students receive speech, occupational, and physical therapies, as dictated by the IEP.

Take a Look at Us

Mrs. VonEnde’s class is off to a great start! We had an awesome trip to Turtle Back Zoo. The highlight of the trip was visiting the touch tank that had string rays and small sharks! Mrs. VonEnde helped us feed the stingrays. It was really cool! The stingrays splashed us after we fed them. We ended our day with a great ride on the train!
Student of the Month

Our first student of the month is Hannah Poggioli. Hannah is an amazing, sweet, funny fourth grader! She comes to school each day and gives 100%. Hannah is always ready to give a helping hand to a friend. She enjoys being with her friends in Miss Howard’s class. She is looking forward to all the special 4th grade activities for the big “moving up” year!
