On October 4th, the kindergarten class from the HIP program at Godwin school traveled to Echo Lake Stables to participate in the Therapeutic Recreational Program. The students were so excited to have the opportunity see and interact with horses. At the stables, they met a white horse named Sunny and his little, black horse friend, Rocky, as well as a brown horse named Tigua. The students were allowed to pet the horses and ride them around a ring! The students also met a friendly barn cat and saw some roosters and chickens in the stables. There they also enjoyed lunch and explored the farm. While at Echo Lake Stables, the students had opportunities to discuss their new experience to encourage and promote receptive and expressive language skills. The students had a great time on their trip to Echo Lake Stables!
