American Sign Language Club

SHIP Midland Park teacher Krystyna Makowski began an American Sign Language Club in Midland Park High School. She works with an interpreter, Veronica LaForgia, to host engaging activities after school once a week for students to build foundational skills in signing. This serves the main purpose of promoting community integration by facilitating effective communication between deaf students and their hearing peers. This club has been a successful and fun activity for all students in Midland Park.
