State Senate President Steve Sweeney, Senator Bob Gordon and Senator Paul Sarlo along with Bergen County Executive James Tedesco, Freeholder Vice Chairwoman Tracy Silna Zur and Freeholder Dr. Joan Voss visited New Bridges on Wednesday, March 30th. The group stopped by the New Bridges Cafe for the weekly Smoothie Sale. 875A0625Students were hard at work at the Post Office, Business Center and School Store Kiosks impressing the visitors with their productivity. The legislators saw our students working out in the cardio room and learning valuable ADL skills in the apartment. The tour of the building ended with a visit to Mrs. Arnesen's class where the students were getting ready for the weekly soup sale. Following the visit Senate President Sweeney tweeted "Toured the adults w/ disabilities & autism programs at Bergen County Special Services School Dist today- beautiful building & great programs".
