Welcome to the Bergen County Technical Schools Human Resources Department

  • Welcome to the web page for the BCTS Human Resources Department. Our department is responsible for overseeing all aspects of staff recruitment, hiring, salaries and employment benefits. We are one of the first points of contact in the district when candidates apply and are recommended for jobs; and we remain an important part of the support system available to staff members throughout their careers here. BCTS is one of the premier school districts in New Jersey, and the nation. Our students and staff have a long history of achievement and recognition that sets our district apart from most others, and we place a high priority on maintaining that level of success.

Our district carefully selects new employees through a rigorous process of resume and credential reviews, individual interviews and reference checks. This process helps us identify people who are talented and motivated to drive the success of our students and our schools as well as their own professional growth. BCTS employees work in a supportive, collaborative environment that encourages initiative, creativity and innovation. Our commitment to professional development and professional growth helps keep our staff members engaged, energized and at the forefronts of their respective fields. We are proud of the many successes of our professional and support staff members, and we take care in our recruitment to bring in people who will continue our tradition of excellence.

The Bergen County Technical Schools is also an Equal Employment Opportunity employer. District employment applications and pre-employment inquiries conform to the guidelines of the New Jersey Division of Civil Rights. All employees and applicants for employment are afforded an equal opportunity to receive equal and fair treatment in all terms and conditions of their employment without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, religion, ancestry, gender identification or expression, age, gender, social or economic status, disability, marital status, affectional or sexual orientation, sex, or gender self-identification.

You are encouraged to look through the information here. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact someone in the department for help.
