Bergen County Technical Schools Celebrate Our 2024 Bergen County Unsung Heroes!
We are proud to recognize six exceptional students who have been named Bergen County Unsung Heroes for their dedication, resilience, and impact on their communities. These students embody perseverance, leadership, and a deep commitment to helping others.
Malik Naser – Applied Technology High School
Having battled a serious blood disorder, Malik now dedicates himself to mentoring sick children, conducting medical research, and interning in cardiology as he pursues his dream of becoming a surgeon.
Danielle Adcock – Bergen County Academies
Danni is known for her kindness and inclusivity, ensuring no student feels left out. Her artistic talents and uplifting spirit make her a cherished member of our school community.
Carson Jakowenko – BCTS, NV Institute for Interactive Design & Technology
Overcoming health challenges with resilience, Carson has achieved excellence in academics, leadership, and extracurriculars, including winning NJ’s Future Business Leaders of America competition in gaming and simulation.
Daniel Quezada – BCTS, Paramus Campus
A National Technical Honor Society member, Daniel demonstrated his commitment to service by designing and building Occupational Therapy Boards for students at Bleshman School, ensuring they had tools to develop fine motor skills.
Madeline Michaels – BCTS, Teterboro
A dedicated volunteer and leader, Madeline’s work with Alms nonprofit and commitment to helping others, even while navigating personal challenges, has earned her multiple community service awards.
We are incredibly proud of these students for their dedication, perseverance, and selflessness. Their impact extends far beyond the classroom, and they truly exemplify what it means to be Unsung Heroes!
