Advanced Manufacturing
The Advanced Manufacturing program is designed to provide adult learners with foundational and practical skills in modern manufacturing technologies and processes. Participants will gain hands-on experience, technical knowledge, and industry-relevant competencies to prepare for careers in high-demand manufacturing roles or enhance their current skills for career advancement.
Successful program completers have the option to accept positions as apprentices with willing partnerships from manufacturing contractors. Students who choose the apprenticeship route after program completion enroll/ register/ transfer to New Jersey Manufacturing Extension Program (NJMEP). Both options provide career placement services as each student nears program completion and include basic portfolio artifacts, employment/networking opportunities, and interviewing skills.
Students in the BCTS-Adult & Continuing Education Full-Time Program have had the opportunity to participate in the Work-Based Activity (WBA) internship program for 192 hours over eight (8) weeks period. Students who choose to participate and secure employment in a related field will attend the WBA four days a week and attend school one day a week. Those who do not wish to participate in the WBA will focus on completing their capstone projects.
Length: 1,200 hours (approximately 1 Year)
*Program length does not include holidays, school closings, etc.
