BCA Students win at National FFA Competition
BCA Students win at National FFA Competition Recently the BCA chapter of FFA attended the 97th FFA Nationals Convention and Expo in Indianapolis, Indiana. More than 70,000 students attended the annual National FFA Convention & Expo from around the country. BCA students took home medals in the following areas: Environmental and Natural Resource Systems, Food Products and Processing Systems, Plant Systems, Animal Systems, Power Structural and Technical Systems, and Food Science and Technology. Congratulations to everyone involved!

26 BCA Students Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists
Bergen County Academies had 26 students named as National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC®) Semifinalists. There were more than 16,000 Semifinalists in the 70th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,870 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring.

Four BCA Students Named National Coca Cola Semifinalists
2025 Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Semifinalists. The Semifinalists from Bergen County Academies are Chloe Cho of Englewood Cliffs, Jonathan Plavnick of Ramsey, Christine Seo of Old Tappan, and Isabella Zelaya Alves of Rutherford, New Jersey. Only 1,336 Semifinalists were chosen among more than 105,000 applicants this year because of their outstanding leadership, academic achievements, and dedication to their community.

BCA Student earns Silver Medal at the International Math Olympiad Marvin Mao recently earned a silver medal at the International Math Olympiad held in Bath, England, Marvin Mao competed as a representative of Canada, his native country.

BCA Student earns Gold at the International Linguistics Olympiad
Congratulations to Devin Joe who earned a gold medal at the International Linguistics Olympiad in Brasilia, Brazil, and was in fact second place overall individual representing USA Blue.

Two BCA Students win Second Place in C-SPAN Documentary Competition
"Footprint by Fabric", by Hyaemhin Moon and Melanie Shim, is the second-place winner in the Multimedia category of the Harvard Political Review Journalism Competition. In addition to their selection and a small cash prize, the students also received direct feedback from the editor of the Harvard Political Review.
