    Bergen County Academies is pleased to announce the return of its Summer Science programs for current students already enrolled in either Nanotechnology or Cell Biology independent research.

     

    Registration is OPEN for 2023!

     

    APPLICATION INFORMATION

    • Read the course descriptions found in the menu to determine eligibility.

    • Read through and familiarize yourself with the Rules and Regulations.

    • All registration is through Community Pass and you can use your existing credentials. ONLY if you do not already have one, create a Community Pass account here.

    • When registration opens, follow the link on the Program Information page to complete the registration forms via Community Pass.

      • **It is the STUDENT who needs to register for these programs, not the parent; please read the registration form carefully and enter the STUDENT'S information for correct enrollment.

    • Seating is limited and filled on a first come, first served basis; however, rising seniors who plan to submit to the Regeneron Science Talent Search will be given priority.

    ELIGIBILITY

    • These programs are ONLY open to current BCA students (class of 2024 - 2026) who are already enrolled in independent research with one of the mentor teachers.

    **Please discuss with your mentor before registering.**

    • Cell Biology Research summer program is designed for students who have a completed research plan, have requested project materials AND those materials have already arrived

    • Cell Culture Boot Camp summer program is designed for students who are currently developing their research plan and/or waiting for project materials to arrive and want to learn cell culture and continue developing their project before next school year.

     

    SCHEDULE

    • Research (Nanotechnology or Cell Biology) runs as one continuous session for 4 weeks, 4 days per week from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

      • June 27-30 (M-R)

      • July 3, 5-7 (M, T-F)

      • July 10-13 (M-R)

      • July 17-20 (M-R)

    • Cell Culture Boot Camp will run 2 separate sessions, 2 weeks each, 4 days per week from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

      • Session 1: June 27-30 (M-R) and July 3, 5-7 (M, T-F)

      • Session 2: July 10-13 (M-R) and July 17-20 (M-R)

     

    FEES

    • Research (Nanotechnology or Cell Biology): $600

    • Cell Culture Boot Camp: $500

    **Fees will be waived for students who qualify for free and reduced lunch.**
