Application Information
- Your primary residence must be in Bergen County, NJ in September 2024, regardless of where you attend school.
- Only 8th grade students can apply.
- If accepted, student will begin 9th grade year in September 2025. Transferring into Bergen County Technical High School is not permitted.
- Complete an Online Application – Online application will open September 1, 2024 and close on November 10th, 2024
COMMERCIAL ART PORTFOLIO SUBMISSION INFORMATION
All students applying for the COMART major at Bergen County Technical High School in Teterboro must submit artwork to this form:

The deadline for submission is November 10th 2024.
No postal mail-in portfolio’s will be accepted this year.
Online Portfolio Submission: The works and ideas represented should be your own, completed by your hand only, and not taken from published or online sources. Do not work from reference photographs from the internet! No anime, fan art, cartoons, comic art, character design, or AI artwork will be accepted. Please review the grading rubric for more detailed information:
Formatting

All images must be submitted as .jpg or .png files.
NO .heic files will be accepted. You may use a free file converter online to change from .heic to .jpg or .png:

All images must be well lit, and rotated appropriately. Photos may be cropped and rotated using the free online program

Abstract/Expressive: An artwork that is abstract or expressive. The work may be either non-objective (no reference to real objects) or may reference real objects (such as a house) but in a way that is not overtly realistic.
