Ms. Scolpino first came to the Bergen County Technical Schools Day Care Center program in 1993 as a Care Giver II. Six years later, in 1999, she assumed full–time duties as The Day Care Center Director supporting students, staff and administrators with scheduling, tuition payments, and ordering supplies and equipment.
The majority of her hours of employment were non–traditional, but her friendly demeanor, always willing to help approach and expertise in organizational structures were nothing less than extraordinary. The thousands of students who attended the Day Care division knew that Liz was the heart and soul of what made the experience important to them on an individual basis.
In October of 2018 Ms. Scolpino decided to return to her real love, being in the classroom, and once again became a Group Teacher at the Day Care Center. Liz made a difference each day for the last twenty–five years for the pre–school children. Many of her former students have returned over the years to thank her and tell her what a difference she made in their lives. She will be greatly missed by all.
The BCTS Board of Education and administration wish Liz the best of health, happiness and a relaxing future as she begins her new journey.
