Ms. Carol Crawford has worked as a Substitute Teacher and Substitute Teacher Assistant for the Bergen County Special Services School District (BCSS) since the Fall of 1990.

Prior to working in our school district, Ms. Crawford was an Elementary School Teacher in Ramsey, N.J., and before that she worked as the Coordinator for the Preschool Program at Bergen County Child Assault Prevention (or “C.A.P.”) for children with special needs. In addition, she also provided in-home private tutoring for children, including multiple-handicapped students, for over fifteen (15) years.

Over the years, BCSS Administrators have noted for Ms. Crawford’s file that she always did a thorough job, and had an excellent rapport with the students, parents, staff and administration.   One administrator’s “thank you” note summed it up by saying, “it was always a pleasure to have Ms. Crawford assigned to any of our programs”!

Ms. Crawford’s love for the profession of teaching will be missed by everyone in the District. Her pleasant and cheerful attitude every day is one that we all wish we could emulate.  Her devotion, professionalism and dedication to our District have been exemplary.

The Bergen County Special Services School District and Board of Education would like to thank Ms. Crawford for her years of dedication and wish her a long, happy and healthy retirement.
