Jane Schein

Ms. Jane Schein started her career with the Bergen County Special Services School District on June 22, 1990 and every day of her 28 year tenure has been spent working with the students of Bleshman Regional Day School.

When reflecting on Ms. Schein’s years at Bleshman, the following quote embodies her approach in working with the students: “Every child deserves a champion - an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be” (Rita Pierson, Educator and Motivational Speaker).  When Ms. Schein meets a child for the first time, she seeks to make that connection.  A connection that is filled with kindness, support, security and love.   Her approach is to challenge a student to grow, always with encouragement, tenderness and patience Ms. Schein has stated that working at Bleshman has never been a job to her; she enjoys coming to work to see the children and staff who she views as extended family. Her kindness, dedication, and positive attitude has impacted the students and staff with whom she has worked with through the years. She looks forward to her retirement so she can spend more time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

The Bergen County Special Services School District and Board of Education would like to thank Ms. Schein for her years of dedication and wish her a long, happy and healthy retirement.
