The Revised Family Crisis Handbook is now available online!
The Revised Family Crisis Handbook: A Mental Health, Stabilization, and Wellness Toolkit is now available online, at no cost. This is an extremely valuable resource for individuals with disabilities who have a dual diagnosis, their families, and professional caregivers. A dual diagnosis (as defined by the National Association for the Dually Diagnosed - NADD) "is a term applied to the co-existence of the symptoms of both intellectual or developmental disabilities and mental health problems."
The Revised Family Crisis Handbook was written by Donna Icovino and Lucille Esralew, Ph.D., with a grant from the New Jersey Council on Developmental Disabilities. It was also supported with funds contributed by Community Access Unlimited. See this link for the complete revised handbook. Download it here.
